Kaleidoscape is powered by two wives and a devoted staff who share the same passion for landscape and craftsmanship. The Kaleidoscape team views your landscape as an extension of your home, and we approach it with the same level of care and attention. Our designs blend creativity and practicality, tailoring solutions to meet both client and site-specific needs, all while cultivating individualistic and sustainable landscapes.

About the Owner

Lauren Riordan has been working in the construction and green industry for most of her life. Lauren’s love of getting her hands dirty comes from over 15 years of field experience. Having earned her Bachelor of Science degree in landscape architecture, Lauren brings 9 years of design knowledge to her projects. With time and firsthand experience, Lauren became aware of the disconnect and loss of information that often occurred between designer, contractor, and installer. With a vision for filling these gaps, she sought to create an intimate and professional company where all areas are overseen and completed by the same group of go-getters. Thus, Kaleidoscape began.

Lauren Riordan

Founder, Lead Designer & Project Manager

Lauren has a deep passion for the landscape industry and has always enjoyed working outdoors and crafting with her hands. Before founding Kaleidoscape, she spent over a decade gaining experience with landscape, construction, and architectural firms while earning her Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. Lauren envisioned a company where all client needs could be addressed in one place. She recognized that poor communication between the designer, installer, project manager, and client often complicated projects. With this in mind, Lauren sought to build a company where every aspect of the project is managed by the same team, ensuring clear and consistent communication with unified goals.

Julia Riordan

Plant Specialist, Office Manager & Designer

Julia brings a wealth of horticulture experience and a true passion for the craft to Kaleidoscape. As a Colorado Certified Gardener, she is well-versed in xeric and native plants, as well as sustainable gardening practices. Her experience helps ensure a harmonious and intentional approach to each project. Julia has a deep appreciation for naturalistic-style gardens that promote diverse ecosystems for plants and wildlife. She is often thoughtfully designing plant palettes while handling office administrative duties.

Leo is an irreplaceable Kaleidoscape original. He carries a deep and profound passion for the natural world, honoring the plants and animals that coexist in our landscapes. While Leo is certainly skilled in every aspect of landscape, his strongest qualities shine in the realm of softscaping and plants. His spirit is reliable, enduring, and sincere. Leo’s zest for life can be heard in his heartfelt singing as he lays patios or plants trees. Kaleidoscape is grateful to have such a positive, hard-working team member.

Left-Hand Man

Alvaro is a one of a kind, tried and true. He is a steady, focused, and determined presence on the jobsite. He quickly earned the nickname “Maestro,” meaning “teacher” in Spanish. His attunement to detail and quality are reflective of Kaleidoscape’s own values. He is renowned as king of stripstone and champion of hardscapes. Alvaro is a pivotal part to our solid foundation.
