All of our patios and retaining walls are installed on a minimum of 6” compacted base material. We prefer open-graded base in most situations, but dense-graded base can be used when appropriate. Open-graded base allows for the expansion of water during Colorado’s extreme freeze-thaw cycles.

There are certain manufacturers who make the best pavers, porcelain, blocks, etc. and we are always happy to discuss what makes them superior. There is also a difference between natural materials vs. man-made materials.

The best method is the one that addresses your specific site needs. Most of that has to do with water, drainage, slope, and soil structure. Hardscape maintenance is minimal. A properly executed hardscape should last for years to come. Using the proper installation techniques and quality products will ensure a successful hardscape. Some hardscapes can be sealed to maintain product integrity and add color boost. 

All hardscape installations are guaranteed to the original Owner against poor craftsmanship for a period of three (3) years.
